Abstract

Percentage change in overnight tourist arrivals measures the change in annual growth or decline of overnight tourists to a country. Overnight tourists are those visitors who stay for one or more nights in the country they are visiting. The percentage change compares the year over year change in the number of overnight tourists to a country.

The length of stay within the country must be at least one night and less than a year. The purpose of the trip can be for business, leisure or other personal purpose except to be employed by a resident entity in the country visited.
